One thing I make sure to focus on in my business is focusing :)

Like everyone else I’m attracted to the new and shiny things but I put a lot of effort into making sure they don’t distract me from my overall business strategy. This focus is the best way I’ve found to get deep expertise on anything; business, marketing, or even tech topics.

Lead magnet options

Having something to offer leads who opt-in to your site can make a huge difference in your email marketing. Philip shares a bunch of resources on what Lead Magnets are and examples you can use. I have one myself that has gotten around a 55% opt-in rate, which is quite a bit higher than usual results.
